Being objective is over

The decision totally opened doors for more gay people in media. I'm not sure the gravity of something like marriage equality really hits people.

However, I think we really are obsessed with objectivity. I think outlets shouldn't hide it. Outlets on the right definitely don't hide it. Why should any other? Look, an unabashed, vocally "biased" outlet won't be understood and probably isn't needed; I don't think they can mentally separate objective stories from objective stories (such as endorsements). It's asking way, way, way too much of readers. You have to totally own the fact that your reporting comes from x view.
