WHAT I DO

WORDS
AS A SERVICE

A native of Brownsville, Texas, my work related to fields ranging from education to artificial intelligence has been hosted on servers from Austin to Brooklyn and been featured by news agencies from South Texas to Moscow.

I spearheaded viral social media campaigns that gave basic protections to LGBT Brownsville ISD students, united student groups at Texas State University to organize a major march for affordability and worker protections, which earned international coverage, promoted a march against cuts to cancer screenings, attended by Wendy Davis, Cecile Richards, and Sylvia Garcia, and pressured President Obama to take action on unjust incarcerations and school shootings, through a video which earned 15 million views in 30 hours.

From 2014 to 2017 while finishing my undergraduate degree at Texas State University, I helped organized for worker’s and tenant’s rights both in and outside of official capacities within the City of Austin. In Fall 2017 and Spring 2018, I lead The New School’s University Student Senate as Co-Chair, funding projects and managing programs ensuring quality education for all New Schoolers.

I’m a proud former high school teacher, having instructed at my alma mater in Brownsville, Texas, where I used my education and experience to lead students to find and use their own voice for themselves and their communities.

I now study machine learning and artificial intelligence, and engage in open-source research on vision and language models.
